What People Say About Clean:
“For anyone who wants to access more of their mind to solve any kinds of problems or for greater self awareness”
“I learned that the language we use is a window into our internal world”
“Practicing Clean leads to more respectful listening and greater understanding of someone else's experience”
What is Clean Coaching?
At its simplest, it is a set of invitations and questions asked in a specific order
Using a Clean Coaching process, you will be able to guide your client or thinking partner through a creative exploration of something they need clarity or a decision on - or you can use it for yourself
These processes involves you as a facilitator inviting the other person to move physically to different spaces around them, where they can experience different perspectives
The Clean processes facilitate an experience for your client or thinking partner, which gives the fullest attention to their own experience and resources. This facilitation is called Clean Coaching
The “Clean” refers to you as the coach or facilitator staying out of your client or thinking partner’s thought exploration. The process is designed to make this easy to achieve
The “Coaching” refers to how the process invites them to find resources in themselves beyond those immediately obvious in our usually cognitive-only thinking
You will learn the sequence of questions, how to deliver the questions themselves and ways in which you can facilitate the most creative and generative experiences for your clients and thinking partners, so that they come to insights through new perspectives
You will also see it referred to as Clean Coaching with Emergent Knowledge
What Kind of Course is this?
Hello, I am Helle Browne and I am your live Clean Coaching training facilitator. I will be hosting five interactive calls on Zoom, to facilitate your learning. During these calls we will be reviewing, reflecting on and discussing the learning from the course materials, addressing your questions and doing some practical exercises
Instructional content is contained in four pre-recorded 90-minute webinars of previous training classes delivered by Angela Dunbar, founder of the Clean Coaching Centre. You will also receive many resources in the forms of audio, video, transcript and further research links
By bringing together these varied delivery elements, it is our intention to provide you with a stimulating and highly supportive learning experience as your introduction to Clean Coaching
This Module One course can be taken as a stand-alone course for coaches and non-coaches and is also the first step of a four-module complete coaching course by Angela Dunbar, from which learning you are eligible to apply for accreditation in Clean Coaching
Where Did Clean Coaching Come From?
Clean Coaching came from part of groundbreaking work in Emergent Knowledge originated by counselling psychologist David Grove in the 1980s
Taught here, as distinct from Clean Language questions alone, this Clean Coaching Foundations course is passing on some of the facilitated processes, as developed by David Grove, which move the thinker in the space around them. These processes invite the thinker to engage with their environment, in a way which opens new perspectives to their thinking: to gain insight through movement in space
This Clean Coaching course: Gaining Insight through Movement was adopted and developed by Angela Dunbar, who studied and worked with David Grove. She has run the Clean Coaching Centre, training and supervising coaches for over 20 years, in addition to working with her own coaching clients
Meet Angela below and find more information on her work and trainings on her website www.cleancoaching.com
